Nine years ago in Chicago, a couple of very stylish computer geeks, a dapper graphic designer and a devoted shopaholic started brainstorming and came up with the idea for urbanStyle.com, a portal to great stores in Chicago. Starting with our first clients -- the legendary Lori’s Shoes and the elegant Urban Gardener – word of our e-commerce capabilities and understanding of the retail world spread. We have now evolved as Modern Retail, a company with the knowledge, the technology and the investment to create and manage the industry’s most powerful new retail tools – tools to help store owners thrive, rather that just survive.
